Strong by Sarah & Mountain Strong FAQ

Strong by Sarah

Technically none. While having a selection of equipment available can be ideal, it is far from necessary. I will absolutely suggest a few things such as resistance bands, a few dumbbells and/or kettlebells, and a pull-up bar – nothing more is needed. I will meet you where you are at with the resources you have at hand. And I can make recommendations if you are wanting to expand your selection.

I don’t require any previous strength training experience and we can progress from there. HOWEVER, if you are starting SBS with no prior experience, I will require that you film each of your lifts for form checks for the first month at a minimum to ensure safety and I will also ask for very solid communication with me around how things feel.

3+ months of strength training experience is ideal.

Not required. While having a broader selection of equipment available can be ideal (& helps add some spice), it is not a requirement. I also fully understand if you are not comfortable being in a gym environment and will not pressure you.

Short answer: nope!

With the Summit tier of SBS, there is a monthly call. This is designed to chat embodiment, mindset, performance goals, how you got a PR on your deadlift (or all of the above). But this call is truly for whatever you need additional support or hype on, so if that is us going through one of the workouts or a combo of movements you have questions around, let’s make it happen!

Yep! Probably not all of them or all of the time, but I will require this to a degree. This will be discussed during the 30 minute call month one. We will collectively decide what needs to be filmed and any parameters to know “yes I should film this”.

If you have zero strength training background, I will require that you film each of your lifts for form checks for the first month at a minimum to ensure safety.

SBS workouts are fully customized to you, your needs, and your schedule. In general, it is recommended to carve out at least 20-25 minutes in order to properly warm-up and go through the workout. In an ideal world, you would have 45-60 minutes.

SBS includes the basic movement patterns in all programs. This covers squatting, hinging, pushing, pulling, and carrying. Beyond this, we believe that moving in different planes of motion is important as well as single-sided variations of movements. You can expect to see more compound movements, accessory movements, and likely plyometrics depending on your goals and background.

We also really care that you find what you are doing to invoke at-least a smidge of joy, so we value feedback when it comes to workouts.

Technically speaking, no. You will keep access to the app for a 30 day period after your contract has ended, after this point you lose access to the app unless you choose to continue with SBS or join Mountain Strong.

HOWEVER, we would love for you to write down your workouts in a notebook as we find this helps you connect more with the movements you’re doing, check-in on a mind/body level, and see your progress and growth easier. Plus, then you have your program for life 🙂

Strong by Sarah has a 3 month commitment, after which you are welcome to cancel at anytime.

If you choose to cancel your Strong by Sarah membership after the 3 month commitment, you will need to notify us in writing either in the app messaging or email at hello@sarahlacourse.com. We do appreciate as much notice as you can give prior to your next billing cycle but get that life happens.

Please note: if you cancel within 48 hours of your recurring scheduled payment, your card may be charged as we do not always see messages the moment they come in. We will work with you on resolving this!
