Mentoring around movement + our relationship with movement and our body

This is a coaching container where we dive into the grey area of movement and our relationship with our body. We can have conversations around mindset, embodiment, goal-setting in regards to endurance/strength goals, long-game (sustainable) training practices and and more.

For endurance and/or strength loving humans who are questioning their current relationship with movement: this is a real thing. There is the world of stats, metrics, sets/reps, splits, leaderboards, comparison traps, competitive mindsets, and more. It is real and your experience is valid. At the end of the day we partake in our activities of choice because they bring us joy, deep joy. If you are being robbed of this joy experience by way of the things that seem to come with being an ultra/mountain/trail-runner, hiker, backpacker, weightlifter, cyclist, etc., let’s figure out a way to plot twist and get the stoke factor back full swing with no strings attached.

Part of my philosophy is that we are all unique, with our own set of needs. There is Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, and I believe we also have our own individual hierarchy of needs. What do we need as human beings – what best supports our goals and process? Sure, movement is a huge part of our lives and there are potentially performance goals around endurance and/or strength pursuits – but how do we get there from a mindset perspective?

And, sometimes being a human that loves endurance/strength can get a little messy. Our good intentioned goals can lead us to feel stuck in a cycle of do-do-do without the joy. There can be a sense of guilt for “not trying hard enough” or even disembodiment.

We are all about bringing back the JOY, amping up the stoke factor, and continuously working on embodiment.

What to expect

 

+ Our work is meant to help you feel more aligned with the movement you are doing and bring back feelings of joy and stoke (we do what we do for a reason, right?)

+ Movement is a grey area. We are taught messages around it, are bombarded with marketing campaigns, have our own experiences with it, and hear about our friends/training partners experiences. It’s a lot to navigate whilst also trying to remain true to what we innately love and enjoy. There is also the world of metrics, miles, splits, PR’s, 1-rep max lifts, strava, etc. I see you and I get it.

+ In a mentoring relationship: I’m able to meet you where you are at, provide guidance around your experience, and help you navigate your goals/intentions.
