1:1 coaching and education to get you strong for the long-game
What is Strong by Sarah?
Strong by Sarah is a movement program specifically designed to get (& keep) you strong for the long-game while educating you in the process of reaching your goals.
Strong by Sarah meets you where you are at, is about the process just as much as the outcome, and values both education and hyping you up.
You have movement related goals AND want a program that supports all parts of your life.
Strong by Sarah is ideal for the human experiencing chronic pain or illness, in eating disorder remission, overcoming RED-S, the athlete who wants more focus on the mind-body connection with their training, and the individual with solid performance goals but who needs a more compassionate and long-range approach. We care about you as a human first, and then figure out the best approach to reaching your goals. Perhaps your movement goals are getting back to sport post-physical therapy, navigating training with chronic illness and varying energy levels, introducing a movement routine but you are in recovery and apprehensive to most folks in the *fitness industry*, or just haven’t been able to find the right program for you after years of trial.

Getting started + FAQ
Frequently asked questions!
+ What if I’m not sure if Base or Summit is the right fit?
My guess is you know but aren’t fully trusting that. I’d invite you to lean into the level of support you believe would be best for you and your needs. AND, I’m more than happy to discuss this during the free 15-min call. I want what is best for YOU.
+ What is covered in onboarding?
The onboarding process includes an overall into to Strong by Sarah, the Everfit app and how to navigate it, a movement pattern screening that you will do on your own but I provide details and instructions on how to do so, a (gentle + compassionate) audit of your current routine, questionnaires around your history/unique human needs/and your personality type (this one is optional, but HIGHLY recommended), and (if applicable) a release for me to chat with any other providers you have who we decide I should connect with.
+ How much lifting experience do I need?
I don’t require any previous strength training experience and we can progress from there. HOWEVER, if you are starting SBS with no prior experience, I will require that you film each of your lifts for form checks for the first month at a minimum to ensure safety and I will also ask for very solid communication with me around how things feel.
3+ months of strength training experience is ideal.
+ Will we train together “real-time”?
Short answer: nope!
With the Summit tier of SBS, there is a monthly call. This is designed to chat embodiment, mindset, performance goals, how you got a PR on your deadlift (or all of the above). But this call is truly for whatever you need additional support or hype on, so if that is us going through one of the workouts or a combo of movements you have questions around, let’s make it happen!
+ Do I *need* to film my lifts?
Yep! Probably not all of them or all of the time, but I will require this to a degree. This will be discussed during the 30 minute call month one. We will collectively decide what needs to be filmed and any parameters to know “yes I should film this”.
If you have zero strength training background, I will require that you film each of your lifts for form checks for the first month at a minimum to ensure safety.
+ How long are the workouts?
SBS workouts are fully customized to you, your needs, and your schedule. In general, it is recommended to carve out at least 20-25 minutes in order to properly warm-up and go through the workout. In an ideal world, you would have 45-60 minutes.
Did we fail to answer your burning question(s)?
I started working with Sarah months ago. At that time, I was at the middle of my health journey as well as dealing with some pretty significant health issues. Sarah worked with me on a weekly basis creating a strength training program to support my body where it was as well as helping to build it up. She really understands and supports each individual as their own person. There were many weeks where I had to step away from any strenuous activities to help my body heal and Sarah supported me along the way. She reminded me that it was ok to rest and to listen to my body when needed. Her knowledge and holistic approach to strength training was exactly what I needed. It is so refreshing to work with someone who truly wants you to achieve your goals and to do it in a safe and sustainable way.

Working with Sarah is a blast. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about helping her clients build strength training into their lives in ways that are sustainable, science-based, functional, and engaging. Her focus on proper form and playing the long game is so important, and has helped me reframe my own mentality towards all of the activities that I do. In our sessions, she was able to strike a balance between being fun and flexible while also holding me accountable and helping me to push myself in a healthy way. Her plans are efficient and effective and helped me get strong enough to set and achieve some big goals.

Working with Sarah has been an eye opening experience. I didn’t play sports growing up and wasn’t exposed to hiking big mountains or climbing until college. Working out was something my mom did from a place of body dysmorphia and shame, and my dad “hated the gym because of the gym bros.” I started strength training a year before working with Sarah and I found myself falling into an unhealthy relationship with the gym where I spent hours there, and didn’t fuel my body enough. Upon connecting with Sarah I felt like I was immediately able to drop all of the baggage that I carried with me, and just focus on me in that moment. I was able to learn new ways of being and relating to movement and strength.

I began working with Sarah at the recommendation of my physical therapist following a difficult recovery from ACL surgery. Nothing about my recovery was routine, and I was struggling to feel like my body was my own. As a healthcare provider, it was important to me to work with a trainer who had a strong background in health sciences, and could talk through different parts of recovery with me beyond just providing me with exercises. Training with Sarah became one of my favorite parts of my week and while the results were subtle at first, I came to the realization when I went on a very difficult hiking trip that my leg was no longer holding me back. I felt like I had my body back, and I attribute a huge part of that to Sarah. She encouraged me through every part of my journey, challenged me and pushed me, and quickly became my friend. If you’re on the fence about working with Sarah, take the plunge. She’s everything you are looking for and more.
