I started working with Sarah months ago. At that time, I was at the middle of my health journey as well as dealing with some pretty significant health issues. Sarah worked with me on a weekly basis creating a strength training program to support my body where it was as well as helping to build it up. She really understands and supports each individual as their own person. There were many weeks where I had to step away from any strenuous activities to help my body heal and Sarah supported me along the way. She reminded me that it was ok to rest and to listen to my body when needed. Her knowledge and holistic approach to strength training was exactly what I needed. It is so refreshing to work with someone who truly wants you to achieve your goals and to do it in a safe and sustainable way.

Working with Sarah is a blast. She is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about helping her clients build strength training into their lives in ways that are sustainable, science-based, functional, and engaging. Her focus on proper form and playing the long game is so important, and has helped me reframe my own mentality towards all of the activities that I do. In our sessions, she was able to strike a balance between being fun and flexible while also holding me accountable and helping me to push myself in a healthy way. Her plans are efficient and effective and helped me get strong enough to set and achieve some big goals.

I began working with Sarah after I completed yet another stint in physical therapy due to my latest in a series of chronic overuse injuries. Prior to moving to New Hampshire four years ago, I religiously did strength training twice a week with a trainer, which kept me largely injury free through my first two years living and playing hard in all the seasons of the North Country. But my lapse in consistent strength training (brought on largely by lack of accessible training resources/gyms) eventually caught up with me, and the fun stuff I was doing in the backcountry began bringing me more injury than enjoyment. Sarah has been an invaluable part of my journey back to strength, which has had incredible benefit on my ability to work and play in the outdoors. Sarah gives me the accountability I need while pacing my progress in a way my body can handle. She has helped me be patient with my body while working through chronic issues exacerbated by a summer leading hikes, and it is because of this sensibility that I have been able to remain active and continue to gain strength despite these issues. Sarah is an amazing resource to have in the Mt. Washington Valley, and I am so grateful to have found her!

Working with Sarah has been an eye opening experience. I didn’t play sports growing up and wasn’t exposed to hiking big mountains or climbing until college. Working out was something my mom did from a place of body dysmorphia and shame, and my dad “hated the gym because of the gym bros.” I started strength training a year before working with Sarah and I found myself falling into an unhealthy relationship with the gym where I spent hours there, and didn’t fuel my body enough. Upon connecting with Sarah I felt like I was immediately able to drop all of the baggage that I carried with me, and just focus on me in that moment. I was able to learn new ways of being and relating to movement and strength.
I continually experience nervous system flare ups from PTSD and my menstrual cycle. Sarah has not only graciously held space for me to express what I’m experiencing, but adapted my programming to slowly expand what my nervous system is capable of handling from a place of safety and care. Her programming has allowed me to sustainably do my physically laborious job as a massage therapist, and to approach overuse injuries from a place of curiosity and direction, instead of alarm.
I strongly recommend working with Sarah, and often suggest her to my clients due to her approachable, thoughtful, and inclusive perspective in the industry.

Sarah’s approach to working with clients is different than anything I’ve experienced before. I first contact her for help with nutrition on my hikes and runs because of experiencing “bonking” and fatigue. She ended up taking a really comprehensive approach and wanted to understand not only my fueling habits but also my overall nutrition, stress, sleep, training history, and overall health. She cares about her clients overall wellbeing and takes into consideration factors of a persons life outside of necessarily what they are reaching out for help with. She ended up helping me with overall stress management, mindset around fueling, education of the why behind what she was suggesting, and helping me to fuel my body better for the activities I do.

Sarah is a terrific motivator and personal trainer. She has a wealth of experience and can meet you “where you are!”, regardless if you are just starting your fitness routine or a seasoned athlete. She is most flexible which was appealing to my situation. I would certainly recommend Sarah to guide you through your fitness journey!

I have been training with Sarah for now over 10 months and have found it to be very helpful in my journey to increase my strength and have better balance. After assessing my level of fitness she provided me with a series of exercises to increase my strength and stability and then evaluates to make sure I am doing the exercises properly so that I get the most benefit from the exercises and avoid injury. She also has added on different exercises as my strength increased. Sarah is also very personable and I have enjoyed being in the gym with her. I would highly recommend her as a personal trainer.

I worked with Sarah as a personal trainer on the seacoast and was going through some serious issues with my health. Each week I looked forward to our workouts. She customized each workout to fit specific needs and made alterations for those that needed them. Some individuals had knee, wrist and other medical issues that needed some limitations. Sarah never judged, and she immediately gave an alternative exercise. She was extremely mindful of watching each of us to be sure we were maintaining form in each movement. She wanted us to be aware of the changes we were making in our lives and pushed us just the right amount. She is an inspiration to us all that no matter what life obstacles are thrown our way, we can overcome it. Proving to us all that in the end we are all strong enough to push ourselves to do things we never thought we could!
